Detectives appeal for information following collision in Wilmslow
Detectives are appealing for information following a fail to stop collision in Wilmslow.
Emergency services were called to Gravel Lane at around 2.50am on Sunday 27 June following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a white Mercedes Vito.
The pedestrian, a man in his 20’s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
He has since been released from hospital.
The Mercedes car fled the scene of the incident.
A 33-year-old man from Manchester was arrested on suspicion of assault but has since been released under investigation
Officers are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward to help with their investigation.
Detective Constable Towe said: “The victim sustained serious injuries consistent with being struck with a vehicle.
“This whole incident has been a frightening experience for the victim, who was lucky not to have been more seriously injured.
“We have carried out a number of enquiries and we are now asking for the public's help.
“We are asking for anyone who may have seen the incident, anyone who has information or dashcam footage, and particularly any sightings of a white Mercedes Vito driving in the area prior to this incident, to contact Cheshire Police.
“The same goes for anyone who may have CCTV footage or may know who is responsible and has not yet come forward.”
