Dispersal order in place for Biddulph this weekend

Staffordshire police have announced that a despersal order will be in place in Biddulph town centre over the weekend.

Dispersal orders provide the police with the extra powers to break up groups of two or more people, where they believe their behaviour is causing a nuisance, harassment or distress.

A Staffordshire police spokesperson said

“A Dispersal Order will be in force in Biddulph Town Centre this weekend. Officers will be patrolling to ensure the safety of our community.

Any persons causing or likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress will be directed to leave for a period up to 48 hours. “

The area with the despersal area in place covers the majority of Biddulph from meadows way to New Street, Biddulph Moor and Woodhouse Lane and Park Lane (Area pictured)
