EFL SEASON KICKS-OFF ON SATURDAY

The EFL league season gets underway this weekend, with all clubs hoping they have a good season.

Stoke City look to start their campaign with victory over Rotherham who took all three points against the Potters with a 1-0 victory last season.

Alex Neil has been busy over the summer and brought a number of players in and will looking for his side to hit the ground running.

Port Vale start their campaign with a trip to South Yorkshire to face Barnsley who were relegated from the Championship last season and will be looking to return in the 2023-24 season.

It's a difficult start for the Valiants but they will know where they are in their rebuilding plan under manager Andy Crosby who has made a few signings over the summer which he hopes will consolidate their place in league one.

Crewe Alexandra host Mansfield Town and will be looking to start brightly after a poor season on their return to league two last season.
