EURO QUALIFIERS ROUND-UP

In the Euro Qualifiers for the 2024 Championships England thrashed North Macedonia 7-0 at Old Trafford on Monday night.

A hat-trick for Saka with goals in the 38,47,51 minutes a double strike for Kane on 29 minutes and a penalty on 73 minutes, Rashford also getting a goal on the stroke of half-time and Phillips scoring on 64 minutes gave the home side a comfortable victory.

The Republic of Ireland managed a comfortable win over Gibraltar at the Aviva Stadium in Group B with goals from Johnston on 52 minutes, Ferguson on 59 minutes and Idah in the 92nd minute.

Wales suffered their second defeat on the bounce when they travelled to Turkey in Group D as the home side took victory with goals from Nayir on 72 minutes and Guler on 80 minutes.

A late Aimbetov (88 minutes) winner stunned Northern Ireland at Windsor Park at Kazakhstan took the the points home with a 1-0 victory.
