Pizza delivery chain Domino’s could move into an empty shop in a Staffordshire Moorlands town.
The retail unit, a few doors down from Sainsbury’s and Argos in Biddulph High Street, has been vacant since it was built more than a decade ago.
Now an application has been submitted to Staffordshire Moorlands District Council seeking permission for change of use. A planning statement submitted as part of the application said: “The proposed development will enhance the shopping and town centre environment, bringing an active use and frontage to a vacant unit.
“The change of use of the ground floor to a hot food takeaway will allow Domino’s Pizza to occupy the unit. The proposed unit will operate between 11am and 11pm daily and will generate a number of full-time and part-time employment opportunities.”
