Police appeal following serious collision in Mow Cop

Officers are appealing for information following a serious collision in Mow Cop.

At around 8.40pm on Friday 16 July, officers were called to Chapel Street following reports of a collision involving a white KSR Moto Motorbike and a blue Nissan Pulsar.

The motorcyclist a 29-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

He remains in a stable condition in hospital.

A 28-year-old man from Newport was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and driving without due care and attention.

He has since been released under investigation.
