Reminder to get vaccinated before the summer holidays end

People in Staffordshire are being reminded it’s not too late to get their Covid-19 vaccinations. 

The Covid-19 vaccine is the best way to protect yourself and others from the virus and the potential long-term effects. Residents can attend a walk-in clinic to receive first, second and booster jabs. Alternatively, vaccinations can be booked online via the NHS national booking system or by calling 119.

Walk-in vaccine clinics will be available this week at:

• Biddulph Fire Station, ST8 6JN, Tuesday 23 August, 11.30am – 4.30pm, anyone aged 12+

• Staffordshire Uni Campus, ST4 2DE, Tuesday 23 August, 11.30am – 4.30pm, anyone aged 12+

• Coopers Square Shopping Centre, DE14 1DE, Wednesday 24 August, 10.30am – 3.30pm, anyone aged 12+

• Rising Brook Fire Station, ST17 9NF, Friday 26 August, 11.30am – 4.30pm, anyone aged 12+

• Keele Uni Campus, ST5 5BJ, Friday 26 August, 11.30am – 4.30pm, anyone aged 12+

Staffordshire County Council’s Cabinet Support Member for Public Health and Integrated Care, Paul Northcott, said: “It’s not too late to get your Covid-19 vaccines and I urge everyone to get fully jabbed as soon as possible. Particularly as we approach winter months, we must do our bit to help keep rates low and our loved ones safe.

“The vaccines have all proven to be safe and highly effective and I encourage everyone to take advantage of these walk-in clinics and get your jabs done now”
