Vaccines available at Moorlands Monday walk-ins
Updated: Nov 29, 2021
Covid-19 vaccines will be available for people at two walk-in clinics in Staffordshire Moorlands next week.
***Please note that the Biddulph Fire Station walk-in clinic has been cancelled due to the adverse weather conditions making it unsafe for people to attend.
The Cheadle Fire Station clinic will still go ahead.***
The clinics will run at Cheadle Fire Station (ST10 1HF) and Biddulph Fire Station (ST8 6JN) between 10:30am-2:30pm on Monday 29 November. No appointment will be necessary.
These clinics will be open to anybody aged 12-15 years old in need of a first dose of the vaccine, anybody aged 16 and over in need of their first or second doses, and anybody eligible for their booster dose.
People with weakened immune systems entitled to a third dose will be able to get this at the Biddulph clinic providing they have a referral letter from a GP or hospital doctor.
Cabinet Member for Public Health and Integrated Care, Dr Johnny McMahon, urged people to make use of the clinics to ensure they’re protected for Christmas:
“Unlike last Christmas, the majority of the population are now vaccinated thanks to the fantastic national vaccination programme which means more protection for them and their loved ones this Christmas. While this is great, it’s so important that those still in need of their vaccine get it as soon as possible, particularly as this time of year brings more opportunity for the virus to spread with increased travel and household mixing. Please don’t take the chance, get yourself vaccinated and protected in time for Christmas so you can enjoy it safely with your loved ones.
“Walk-in clinics such as these offer a quick and convenient way to get vaccinated, so if you’re able to attend and get your jab, please do so.”
Anybody aged 12 and over can get their Covid-19 vaccine. Parents and guardians of 12-15 year olds will need to attend vaccine clinics with their child as consent will be required on the day.
