Young People charity secure lottery funding
As discussed with Matt on our community matters show this morning, the Community Fund of the National Lottery has awarded the Leek young people charity @21 over £90,000 to be allocated over a period of three years.
The donation will help put the charity on a secure financial footing, it will enable the charity to increase the the number of sessions provided each week and offer more activities.
@21 has established an Action Group that will engage with local businesses to secure the longer term funding of the charity.
The charities trustees would like to thank the Lottery Fund and Claire Johns from SCYVS whose assistance in completing the Lottery application was invaluable.
The photo of the young people, the youth workers and trustees celebrating was taken by Mark Brammar of Brammar Associates.
