A nine year old boy has sustained a serious injury after an incident at Brough Park, Leek.

Police attended the incident which involved underage drinking and smashing bottles in the park.

Police are asking parent if they know what their children are up to after the incident.

A spokesperson for the Staffordshire Moorlands neighbourhood policing team said

“Parents do you know what your children are up to? This incident in Brough Park, Leek involved youths underage drinking and smashing bottles. This has resulted in a boy aged 9 sustaining a serious injury to his hand. Police will be providing a visible presence in the park.”
