BELLE Vue are aiming for top spot in the Rowe Motor Oil Premiership on Monday night as they entertain King's Lynn Stars at the National Speedway Stadium in Manchester.
The Aces have already beaten the Stars at the Adrian Flux Arena 48-42 and a win plus the point for the aggregate bonus point would take the Aces to the top of the table replacing current leaders Ipswich.
Belle Vue will be at full strength for the clash, but the Stars will be without number one Tobias Musielak who was to be replaced by Josh Pickering but the former Stars skipper crashed out in Edinburgh's meeting on Friday night and the Stars have decided to use rider replacement to cover for his absence, while Vadim Tarasenko is replaced by Richard Lawson.
Club CEO Mark Lemon said: “The team that travels to us on Monday looks a little different to how it first started, but a cornered tiger is a dangerous animal.
“Even without Tobiasz Musielak and Vadim Tarasenko, King’s Lynn still have a lot of potential to put in an equally strong performance to mirror the one they delivered at the Adrian Flux Arena.
“And the gap on aggregate couldn’t be closer and I’m certain both teams will have the bit between their teeth for some much-needed points.
“I am very pleased with how our boys have started the season and though we could go top of the table tonight, that remains in our peripheral vision until after Heat 15.
“We approach this as we do every match, with focus and determination because, even with our fantastic home form, we’ll need to be prepared.”
