ACES LOOK TO TRUMP PANTHERS
BELLE Vue are determined to bounce back when they face the Peterborough Panthers at home on Monday, June 19, tapes up at 7:30pm.
The Aces were bested by the Lions 52-38 away to kick off the second half of their season but remain six points clear at the top of the Premiership after 13 meetings raced.
And, despite one minor blip against Sheffield in the early season, remain unbeaten at the National Speedway Stadium in six appearances.
They will be looking to replicate their fine form on home shale against the Panthers, whom they’ve beaten, convincingly, twice so far this season.
Both teams will be at full strength for this clash, with the Crendon Panthers finally able to declare a full 1-7 with the signing of exciting Russian prospect Vadim Tarasenko.
The nephew of Artem Laguta, 19-year-old Tarasenko makes his British debut with an impressive CV of national and international U19 and U21 appearances to his name.
Club CEO Mark Lemon said: “We have another exciting meeting in prospect against Peterborough with the British Speedway debut of Vadim Tarasenko.
“For a young man, he is highly rated by his peers and fast. I’m sure he’ll be at home at the National Speedway Stadium as his uncle Artem Laguta was last week.
“On paper, Peterborough are looking much more solid than they did the last time we met in Manchester and the competition between the clubs is, subconsciously, getting fiercer.
“But I don’t have to tell the boys how to do their job. We know what’s at stake as we move into the second half of our season and I’m confident we can get the job done, as we have before.”
