Alton Towers sets out reopening plans
Alton Towers Resort has announced its plans to reopen for the 2021 season following the latest government plans and Boris Johnson’s roadmap to getting the country out of lockdown.
the Park has confirmed that they plan to open the theme park from April 12th. Alongside this they plan to open select self accommodation at the resort.
Alongside this reopening it is expected that the new World of David Walliams willopen this year after being delayed due to coronavirus restrictions last year. The area will feature rides and attractions based on the comedians children’s novels including Gangster Granny: The Ride.
prior to this the park are also planning to open the grade 2 listed gardens prior to this.
local families will be able to visit the historic gardens once again from the 29th of March up until the park reopens on April 12th.
These dates are subject to change in line with government guidance and restrictions at the time.
A statement on social media for the park said
“In line with the latest Government guidance, we are delighted to confirm that we plan to open Alton Towers Theme Park and selected self-contained accommodation from 12th April 2021.
In in the interim, we are delighted to confirm that the Alton Towers Gardens will be open every day from March 29th to April 11th for local families to enjoy. Pre-booking will be essential. (Visit altontowers.com for more information and to book your Garden experience.)
