Annual Show - Leek Allotments and Gardeners Association on Saturday 20th August 2022

Our roving reporters were out and about again and attended the above event that was on at St Paul’s Community Centre, Novi Lane, Leek.

There were displays of exhibits of Fruit and Vegetables, Flowers, Floral Art, Domestic, Crafts, Eggs, Photography and Paintings etc.,  Judging took place before 11am and the doors opened for the public to see the exhibits from 11am.

At 3pm  the Deputy Mayor of Leek Matt Swindlehurst presented the winners with a certificate for the “Best Of”:- Onions, NVS, Dahlias, Pot Plants, Gladiolas, Flowers, Eggs, Domestic, Photo’s, Floral Art, Best in Colour and Hanging Baskets. Followed by the Best Allotments around the area, and the  Best Scarecrows. The  Raffle was then drawn after which there was an auction of some of the produce being run by Mr Roy Tomlinson and helped by Councillor Sue Coleman.

Also at the show was Councillor Benefer (Chair of Leek Allotments and Gardeners Association), Councillor Lyn Swindlehurst, Councillor Sue Coleman and Councillor Mike Ottewell.
