Appeal after lambs stolen

Officers are appealing for information after a number of lambs were stolen from a farm off Red Road, near Alton.


The farmer arrived at the field, near to the Ramblers retreat pub, on the afternoon of Tuesday 15 June and found one of his sheep had been killed and tied to a post, and 20 lambs were missing.


The incident will have happened between 7.30am on Sunday 13 June and 4pm on Tuesday 15 June.


Officers are asking that if anybody is offered lambs for sale or has been over the last week, or if anyone has any information or was in the area and saw or heard anything suspicious between the times above, they should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 560 of 16 June, call 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
