Armed police make arrest in Staffordshire Moorlands high street
A man has been arrested In a moorlands high street for possession of firearm
Armed officers from Staffordshire Police attended Cheadle high street this evening following reports of a man with a firearm.
Police have arrested a 69-year-old man from the town on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear/violence.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire police said
“We went to High Street, Cheadle, at 4.20pm today (Sunday 17 December) following reports of a man with a firearm.
A man was found by officers.
A 69-year-old man, from Cheadle, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear/violence.
He remains in custody and inquiries are ongoing.
