AUSTRALIA TAKE 1-0 LEAD IN ASHES SERIES

Australia have won the first Ashes test of the series to go 1-0 up, in a classic game at Edgbaston on Tuesday.

In a match that had twists and turns the Aussie’s managed to win by two wickets as they chased a total of 281.

It looked at one stage that the home side would edge it, but a stubborn Cummins (44 not out) and Lyon (16 not out) added an unbeaten 55 to give the visitors victory.
