BIDDULPH MALE VOICE CHOIR RECEIVE AWARD

In this year’s Midlands Enterprise Awards, Biddulph Male Voice Choir has been awarded “West Midlands Male Voice Choir of the Year 2023”

A company spokesperson said “Now in its seventh consecutive year, The Midlands Enterprise Programme was created to recognize and reward enterprises of all different sizes that are based in the heartland of the country. Our winners are strong, unwavering, and full of life, and the businesses and individuals in this year’s award programme, are setting the pace for many.

SME News prides itself on the validity of its awards and winners. The awards are given solely on merit and are awarded to commend those most deserving for their hard work, distinguishing them from their competitors, and proving them worthy of recognition.”

Awards co-ordinator Victoria Cotton commented on the success of this year’s winners: ”I am extremely pleased to have worked with such ardent individuals which continuously alter the way the rest of the UK sees the Midlands. I wish them all the best “Onwards and Upwards”

A choir spokesman said “We are obviously proud and excited to have received this award which recognises the hard work and commitment of the choir members, and its often unsung helpers. The choir is still getting over the loss of its Chairman Dave Walley who died suddenly a few weeks ago, and this award is a fitting tribute for his hard work and unfailing commitment to the choir over the years.

The choir is now beginning to organise its concert programme for 2024 and anyone who would like to book” The West Midlands Male Voice Choir of the Year 2023” to help with their fundraising should contact them at concerts@biddulphmalevoicechoir.co.uk or by phone on 07786 121862 as soon as possible.

The choir is recruiting new members, and practice on Wednesday night between 7.00 and 9.00 at Biddulph High School, Conway Road, Knypersley. Anyone interested should come along and will be given a warm welcome. You don’t have to be able to read music and there is no embarrassing audition.
