Biddulph Rambler's Walk for July

Wednesday 7th, 9:30am at Same as Start Point [SK249784], 9:45am at Park in Station Road, Grindleford, just off the B6521 [SK249784], Grindleford, Burbage Moor 7.5 miles, From Grindleford station we cross the B6521 to climb steps through the woods up to Longshaw Lodge. After crossing the A6187 we follow the rough track along the edge of Burbage Moor and then turn south over Higger Tor and the Iron Age hill fort of Carl Wark to decend through Padley Gorge back to Grindleford., 7.5mi/12.1km, Leader Pauline 01782 504133

Sunday 11th, 9:15am at Same as Start Point [SJ952715], 9:30am at Standing Stone Road off Clarke Lane, Langley. At side of Ridgegate Reservoir. [SJ952715], Macclesfield Forest, Shutlingsloe,Wildboar Clough 8 mile, Starting from the side of Ridgegate Reservoir we climb through the forest to assend Shutlingsloe and the down into Wildboar Clough. After skirting Piggford Moor we regain the high ground again by walking up Oaken Clough to the Hanging Gate Pub. Wednesday 14th, 9:45am at Same as Start point. [SJ856573], 10am at National Trust Car Park off High Street, Mow Cop. [SJ856573], Mow Cop, Mount Pleasant, Scholar Green, Ackers Crossing. 6.5 miles, From the castle car park down through Mount Pleasant to canal at Scholar Green. Along canal to Ackers Crossing the follow South Cheshire Way up through Hanging Wood to Mow Cop., 6.5mi/10.5km, Leader Tony 01782 773444
