BRACEWELL SIGNS FOR POTTERS WOMEN
STOKE City have added vastly experienced goalkeeper Lauren Bracewell to their ranks, as the ‘keeper becomes the Potters’ fifth summer signing.
The 35-year-old joins City on the back of a fruitful career as Burnley captain for five seasons, making over 100 appearances as part of the Clarets side that won back-to-back promotions in 17/18 and 18/19 to the Women’s National League North.
Bracewell also had a spell with Huddersfield Town in 23/24 after departing Burnley during the campaign.
Marie Hourihan’s side have enjoyed a productive summer so far, with Jess Reavill, Delphi Cole, Evie Priestley and Monique Watson all completing moves to the Potteries this week.
“We are thrilled to welcome Lauren on board for this upcoming season,” said Head Coach Marie Hourihan.
“She’s a goalkeeper with great pedigree having previously been the captain of Burnley, she’s a leader both on and off the pitch who possesses great shot-stopping ability and will add great experience to our backline this season.”
