Fans of Buxton Opera House will be able to hear more from their favourite theatre with the launch of their new podcast. The Cast from Buxton Opera House will give listeners the chance to take a peek behind the scenes, with interviews, masterclasses, history and more. Directors, performers, artists and creatives will share their experiences and knowledge of the theatre in the hills. The Cast from Buxton Opera House hopes to give audiences more of an insight of the people that help keep the opera house running, and performers who visit it. The first two episodes will be available to download on Tuesday 22 June. Featuring in the first two podcast’s listeners will find out about Chief Executive Paul Kerryson who along with heading up the Opera House, is also a renowned director who has worked with some of the very best performers and crew in the industry. Paul was also awarded an MBE in 2015 for his services to the theatre industry. The podcast will give listeners the unique chance to learn about Buxton Opera House’s own productions, their Learning and Engagement programme and hearing from visiting shows. Future episodes will include an interview with the set designers of A Little Night Music, Buxton Opera House’s first co-production with Buxton International Festival.
