CHEADLE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS EVENT COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS ON THE 19TH NOVEMBER 2022

Churnet sound news

Our roving reporters went to Cheadle Christmas Lights Event today. The weather was good. The U3A had got an exhibition on at the Cheadle Guild Hall and Moorlands Homelink had Turkey baps, chutneys and jams plus other things for sale in their courtyard.

The High Street was full of charity stalls, local businesses and fair rides from one end of the High Street to the other and the shops and the market hall were all open. The street was buzzing with families etc., enjoying looking at the various stalls. Santa and Mrs Santa Claus and the Elves were situated at Tudor House. During the afternoon various acts performed to entertain the crowds in the gazebo and the Cheadle Community Choir sang carols which the audience could join in with. The reindeers were also present. At 5pm the countdown happened and the Christmas lights were turned on. When we left the event was still in full flow.

Please see below some pictures from the event.
