Cheshire Pub ban Under 21's


Congleton pub and eatery The Cheshire Tavern will now be a 21+ Venue for drinking following unacceptable behaviour from some young customers.


It reports that youngsters are attempting underage drinking and have noticed a significant increase in drug use amongst the age group of 18-21 and the pub say this completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated.


The Cheshire Tavern say it is a calm and relaxed environment for families to meet and enjoy time together and they hate to put this measure in place but for the foreseeable future this will be now be in practice.


Staff at the eatery have now been instructed to vigilantly practice the Challenge 25 Rules and ask not be offended or embarrassed if asked for ID. They retain the right to refuse service to anyone.


Cheshire Tavern apologised to residents - 'We are sorry we have had to do this Congleton'.
