Congleton Bonfire and Fireworks back for 2021

Congleton Rotary club have announced that the congleton Bonfire and fireworks night will return this year on Saturday November 6th.

The event is making a return after being cancelled last year to the coronavirus pandemic.

The gates to the park open at 5pm with a torchlight procession and the bonfire being lit at 6pm.

A fairground, stalls and refreshments will all be at the park where two fireworks displays will take place. Firstly at 6:30 a display aimed at families will take place with fireworks that make less noise. At 7:30 the main display will begin.

The Bonfire and Firework displays attract support from thousands of local people. The event had to be canceled last year, due to the pandemic. Rotary-Congleton, organisers for over 30 years, say that public displays are much safer and feature bigger and better commercial fireworks than those available for individual parties held in gardens.

After expenses, all the money raised from the event is used by Rotary-Congleton to support its work in the local community.
