Congleton town council pay tribute to her majesty

Congleton town council has released a statement following her majesty the queens peaceful passing at Balmoral

Councillors and staff at Congleton Town Council are deeply saddened at the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Our thoughts are with all the members of the Royal Family. Details about local arrangements for services and books of condolence will be communicated tomorrow. We will open a book of condolence in the Congleton Information Centre, but also expect that there will be a national online book. There is protocol in place that all levels of Government will follow. The flags at the Town Hall were lowered to half-mast as soon as news broke.
