Covid-19 vaccination clinics open over the festive period for high-risk children
With the festive season fast approaching, parents and carers in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent are being urged to ensure children who are more at-risk get their Covid-19 vaccination.
Open to 5–15-year-olds who are considered to be high-risk, the Covid-19 vaccination clinics will also offer accompanying parents and carers the choice to have the vaccine. However, they will not be open to the general public.
Dr Lorna Clarson, Deputy Chief Medical Officer for the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board said: “The festive period is an extremely busy time for many, with people out and about visiting family and friends. That’s why it’s so important for children who are at high-risk or who have weakened immune systems to receive their Covid-19 vaccination and avoid the risk of serious illness.”
These are the latest opening times for the pop-up vaccination centres in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent:
Rising Brook Community Fire Station, ST17 9NF, Saturday 2nd December, 10:00am - 3.30pm
Longton Community Fire Station, ST3 1NS, Thursday 14th December, 3:00pm to 6:00pm - the usual public clinic will run from 10:00am-2.30pm.
