CREWE SIGN STRIKER KANE

Crewe Alexandra have signed striker Kane Hemmings.

The 32-year-old, who has scored 160 goals so far in an impressive career, has penned a one-year contract with an option for a further 12 months.

Lee Bell’s first senior summer signing spent most of last season in League One with Stevenage, where he scored seven goals in 21 starts, and joins the Alex as a free agent.

Hemmings, who started as a youth with Glasgow Rangers and played 10 times for the Scottish giants, previously spent 18 months at Tranmere Rovers where he fired 16 league goals.

He has also played for the likes of Burton Albion, Notts County, Mansfield Town, Oxford United and Barnsley, notching over 70 goals across Leagues One and Two. He has made 460 career appearances in total.
