EFL WEEKEND PREVIEWS
STOKE City host fierce rivals West Bromich Albion in the Championship at the BET365 Stadium on Saturday afternoon as the Potters look to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat at Watford last Saturday.
Stoke have the better record against the Baggies in recent seasons with two wins, a draw and one loss and they will be looking to continue that record against Albion at the weekend.
The Baggies drew with Leeds at the Hawthorns last time out 0-0 but away from home the black country outfit have won only once in nine games, while at home Stoke have only lost once in six matches.
CREWE Alexandra look to kick start their season after a disappointing opening few matches has left them bottom of the table with newly promoted Chesterfield thrashing the railwaymen 5-0 at Gresty Road last Saturday, with the Alex entertaining Swindon Town in league two.
The Alex have failed to win at home since the win over Sutton back in March and drew the following game against AFC Wimbledon 1-1 since losing eight games on the bounce at home.
This season Swindon haven’t faired much better after an opening day draw at Chesterfield they’ve lost to both Crawley and Walsall and are just two places above the Alex.
PORT Vale make the trip to Holker Street where they face Barrow in league two on Saturday.
The Valiants are currently in fifth place in the table after a win at Salford on the opening day and a home draw against Tranmere Rovers.
Barrow have beaten Crewe this season 1-0 but lost last time out to Carlisle but the Cumbrian side have beaten the Burslem outfit this season as they won 3-2 against the Valiants in the EFL Trophy.
