Endon Well dressing cancelled for second year



Endon well dressing festival has been cancelled has been cancelled for the second year running due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The historic festival normally features a range of events spread over a three day period.

This year the wel will still be dressed featuring oak branches to commemorate Oak apple day which falls on May 29th.

a statement from the well dressing committee said

“It is with regret that the organising committee have made the decision, that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2021 Endon Well Dressing Festival due to take place over the Spring Bank Holiday of Saturday 29th to Monday 31st May is cancelled.


The Well will be dressing with oak branches to commemorate Oak Apple Day, which will fall on Saturday 29th May. This will be the only event organised to take place.


Anyone wishing to visit our village to view the dressed Well will be very welcome. Please ensure all government social distancing measures applicable at the time of your visit are adhered to.”
