ENGLAND LEAD BY 35 RUNS

England lead Australia by 35 runs after the third day of the first Ashes test at Edgbaston on Sunday where rain stopped play early.


England scored racked up a decent 393 for 8 declared in their first innings with Australia falling just short with 386 all out.


The home side started their second innings and were 28 for 2 wickets when rain stopped play for the rest of the day.
