Fire crews remain at scene following derelict nightclub blaze

We are continuing to dampen down hotspots at the fire in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, this morning (Wednesday 13 March).

Multiple crews have been working through the night at Brockley Square after the alarm was raised at 5.45am yesterday.

Firefighters and emergency services are taking extra precautions around the area to make sure we can keep people safe and bring the incident to a safe conclusion.

We are also looking to lift the cordon in place and reopen nearby roads as soon as we can. We know this has caused lots of disruption and we’d like to thank people for their patience and understanding.

The cause of the fire will be investigated as soon as it’s safe to do so.
