STOKE City put in a five-star display as they beat Middlesbrough 5-0 at the Riverside Stadium in their Carabao Cup second round tie.

The Potters took the lead early on with a goal from Tezgel on 14 minutes and that’s the way it remained until half-time as both sides squandered chances.

In the second half Stoke took control of the match with Mmaee netting on 57 minutes, Koumas on the hour mark to make it 3-0 and then a brace from Manhoef with goals in the 65th and 69th minute giving Stoke victory and a place in the third round with the draw taking place on Wednesday night.
