Four teenagers charged following serious assault in Congleton

Detectives investigating the assault of a 51-year-old man in Congleton have now charged four people in connection to the incident.

The four teenagers were all arrested following the assault of a man on Market Street, Congleton, on Saturday 12 February 2022.

They have since been charged with the following offences –

• Liam Doolan, 18, of St Johns Road, Biddulph – Charged with section 18 assault and section 47 assault

• 16-year-old boy from Congleton – Charged with section 18 assault

• 15-year-old girl from Congleton – Charged with section 47 assault

• 14-year-old boy from Congleton – Charged with section 47 assault

All four teenagers are currently on bail and are set to appear at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on Monday 6 February.
