Leek outdoor markets cancelled this Saturday

Following the snow on Thursday and Friday,which has left motorists stranded and needed search and rescue and mountain rescue volunteers to assist Police and the fire service ,Leek's outdoor market has been cancelled by Staffordshire moorlands district council for Saturday 11th March.

The Butter Market and Trestle market will still be going ahead as usual.

A spokesperson for SMDC said

"Unfortunately, due to the current and forecast weather conditions, the market in Leek on Saturday 11/03/2023 has been cancelled.

However, the Butter and Trestle market will still be open."

More snow is currently forecast for Saturday afternoon
