Leek Xmas Lights Event Friday 18th November 2022

At Town Council we are all looking forward to Leek’s annual big Xmas lights event. Our colleagues at Protech have been working hard, putting up the lights ready for Friday. The trees are now in place and it’s ‘all systems go’.

The event will start at 5pm, ending 9pm. There will be a live music stage in Sparrow Park. As in previous years we are making sure it’s a great showcase for local talent. Noman's Land will be kicking things off at around 5.30, then Jo Safini, finishing with the fabulous D.A.B Band. There will be a full lighting show, ending with a fantastic laser display.

There will be food stalls in Derby St, and both indoor markets will be open.

The Market Place will play host to local traders and community groups, along with Santa and his various helpers in their usual spot.

The Star Wars Storm Troopers will be on the prowl all around the town centre, and we are really pleased that the fantastic Billerettes will also be coming along.

The Collins family have been bringing their fairs to Leek for around a hundred years and we are really pleased that John Collins will be bringing along his magnificent set of Waltzers. These were new in 2021, and spend the summer at Alton Towers before coming straight to Leek at the end of the season. They will be joined with whole range of attractions in High St Car Park, with further attractions in the Market Place and and Market St West.
