LEEK Town remain at the top of the table in the Northern Premier League West Divsion after a 3-0 home win over Newcastle Town at Harrison Park.
Leek took the lead on 55 minutes with a gol from Grice and extended their lead on 68 minutes with Carr netting for the Staffordshire Moorlands side and they completed victory and seal all three points with Scully scoring on the stroke of full time. Attendance: 676.
KIDSGROVE Athletic gained a valuble point on the road as they gained a 1-1 draw against Clitheroe at Shawbridge.
Fawns opened the scoring on 21 minutes for Kisdgrove and the visitors held the lead until the 59th minute when Lovatt equalised for the home side as he put through his own net. Attendance: 908
HANLEY Town also drew 1-1 with Chasetown at Potteries Park.
Town opened the scoring on the half hour mark with Green netting to give the homeside the lead before Chaetown equalised with Lund on 37 minutes. Attendance: 222.
NANTWICH Town lost out in a five goal thriller at the Tom Wall Stadium against Hednesford.
Town went in front on 13 minutes with Harrison netting for the Cheshire outfit with Hednesford equalising with a goal from Gyasi on 23 minutes. Kirby once again on 33 minutes and the visitors led until the 85th minute when Verma equalised to level the scores at 2-2. Nantwich then suffered heartache as they conceeded a penalty in the 90th minute as Thorley converted the penalty as Hednesford took all three points.
