LOWE SIGNS NEW DEAL

STOKE City Head Coach Steven Schumacher believes Academy graduate striker Nathan Lowe carries the potential to become an important player for the Potters in years to come.

The 18-year-old penned a new four-and-a-half year contract at the bet365 Stadium this week, having made nine first team appearances during a breakthrough campaign in 23/24 to date.

Schumacher, who has introduced Lowe as a substitute in twice in his first month at the helm, has high hopes for the England Under-19 international in years to come.

“Nathan has done really well for us in the short time we have seen him, we rate him really highly,” he explained.

“He is one for the future and I am pleased we have managed to tie him down to a contract.

“Hopefully it is only the start of his progression.

“He has played bits and pieces this season but over the next few years he will become a really important player for us because he has the good attributes you would want from a centre forward.”
