MACCLESFIELD GO FOURTH AFTER WIN AT MATLOCK

MACCLESFIELD have moved back into the play-off places in the Northern Premier League Premier Divsion after a 2-1 victory over Matclock Town at the Proctor Cars Stadium on Tuesday night.

With the scores level at 0-0 at half-time Macclesfield scored two quick goals in the second half the first coming on 53 minutes from Curran and then on 57 minutes Pemberton doubled the Cheshire sides lead. Matlock did score a consolation goal in the 83rd minute when West netted for the home side.

The result has moved Macclesfield into fourth place in the table.
