Man arrested after drugs raids in Cheadle, Cheddleton and Biddulph

Police have arrested a man after finding cocaine and cannabis during a number of warrants in Cheadle, Cheddleton and Biddulph.We forced entry into three addresses in the early hours of this morning (Thursday 12 January) and found a number of suspected class A and B drugs, as well as mobile phones and drug paraphernalia. In Cheadle, we found:
• A metal tin containing 19 wraps of suspected class A drugs
• A tub of cannabis and a grinder
• A mobile phone
A27-year-old man, from Cheadle, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis.He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.At the address in Cheddleton, we seized a mobile phone for examination and voluntarily interviewed a man in his 20s.Then, in Biddulph, we found a quantity of cannabis inside the address.Inspector Darren McGrath, of the LPT, said: “We’ve made a proactive start to 2023 and are working hard to proactively target those distributing harmful drugs within the local area.“Dedicated officers within the team will be continuing this proactive approach into the future to ensure we deliver on the priorities of our communities and put a stop to those causing harm in a proportionate and effective way.”
