Man charged after being found with knife

A man has been charged after we found a knife in a car in Stoke-on-Trent.
We stopped a white Dacia on Monday (1 January) at 6.30pm on Victoria Road, Stoke-on-Trent, and found a knife.
The driver of the Dacia was also found to be not insured to drive the car.
Stuart Swanston, 40, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
He has been bailed and is due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 27 February.
Swanston has also been summoned to court for driving without insurance.
