A man has been charged after police found a cannabis grow in Leek.
Qimi Metaj, 33, of no fixed address, appeared at North Staffordshire Justice Centre yesterday (21 August) charged with producing cannabis and being concerned in the production of cannabis.
He has been remanded in custody.
It comes after police attended an address in Leek on Friday (18 August) and found a cannabis grow inside.
An estimated value of £100,000 was given by police for the cannabis grow.
Information of the grow came from Leek residents who had raised concerns in the area.
Officers across the region are continuing to proactively target drug cultivation as part of Staffordshire police’s Operation Levidrome commitment.
