Man jailed after officers seize crack, heroin and cannabis worth more than £17k

A drug dealer has been jailed after supplying cocaine, heroin, monkey dust and cannabis, worth £17,000, in Stoke-on-Trent.

Faheem Mohammed, 37, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested in April 2021 after we searched his house in Longton and found tubs and packets containing class A and B drugs as well as scales and mobile phones.

Collectively, the drugs were worth around £17,835.

He was interviewed about the findings and later charged with the offences.

Mohammed was sentenced to one-year-and-six-months in jail at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Friday (1 March) after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin, possession with intent to supply class B drugs and possession with intent to supply cannabis.

The 37-year-old has also been ordered to pay a surcharge of £156.

Detective Constable Jon Snape, who oversaw the case, said: "It's pleasing to see that another dealer has been taken off our streets.

"Many people will know the harmful effects that drug taking can have on individuals and communities, which is why targeting and eliminating their supply remains one of our main priorities.

"I trust that this sentencing will reassure the people of Staffordshire that we are doing all we can in the fight against drugs and drug dealers."
