Man who died in Rushton Spencer collision named




The man who died in a collision in Rushton Spencer has been named.

Police were called by the North West Ambulance Service at 3.55pm on Sunday (1 May) who reported a serious collision involving a car and a pedestrian on the A523 at Rushton Spencer.

Alec Heyworth, 23, of Smallwood in Cheshire, was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital with life-threatening head injuries. Sadly, he died the following day (Monday 2 May).

His family continue to be supported by specially-trained officers and have asked for privacy at this difficult time.
