MONDAY'S NON LEAGUE ROUND-UP
ON Monday our local non league teams were in action with Macclesfield feeling it was two points dropped after taking the lead on 36 minutes with a goal from Campbell in a game they lead until the 99th minute when Warrington Rylands Furman scored controlversially as only five minutes of added time had been shown by the fourth official which meant the Cheshire based side had to settle for point.
IN the Northern Premier League West Divsion Kidsgrove Athletic extended their lead at the top of the table with a 4-2 victory over local rivals Leek Town at Harrison Park.
Athletic opened the scoring in the 47th minute as Morley put the visitors 1-0 up but Town bounced bck with two quick fire goals s firstly Stevenson equalised on 61 minutes and Leek were in front on 67 minutes as Grocott netted, Kidsgrove responded well with Jake Lovatt equalising on 72 minutes and Callum Lovatt put the league leaders 3-2 up on 80 minutes. The points were sealed in the 90th minute as Cadeau scored in the 90th minute for a 4-2 victory.
NANTWICH Town gained a 1-0 at The Offside Trust Stadium against 1874 Northwich with the goal coming from Harrison on 76 minutes.
THERE was another local derby at Potteries Park as Hanley Town hosted Newcastle Town, Newcastle edged in front in the first half with two goals the first coming from Jack Van Der Laan on 28 minutes with Holdham scoring the second on 39 minutes to give the visitors a 2-0 half-time lead.
Hanley Town pulled a goal back on 49 minutes as Brown netted for the home side, but Tommy Van Der Laan sealed the points four minutes later on 53 minutes to give Newcastle the three points.
IN the North West Counties South first division Abbey Hulton United beat Cheadle Heath Nomads 3-0 with goals from Ward (3) Finney (26) and Griffiths (84).
Alsager Town drew 2-2 with Droylsden and Winsford United lost out to Maine Road 1-0.
