MP’s host homes for Ukraine event at Alton Towers

Host families from Staffordshire and Ukrainian guests were invited to a family event organised by Karen Bradley and other north Staffordshire MP’s to an event at Alton Towers resort.

The free event welcomed families to the resorts conference centre and provided food and drinks with a chance to meet other families and support organisations from across Staffordshire.

Staffordshire Moorlands MP Karen Bradley opened the event by welcoming everyone and telling Ukrainian guests that they are safe and welcome in Staffordshire.

Ukrainian MP Olga Stefanishyna made a moving speech telling of the horrors of the current conflict and her own loss in the conflict

“Thank you for your work the uk members of Parliament the  uk people I think that if there was that much support from every country we would already win the war

Ukrainians are very brave people Ukraine will never defeat Ukraine will prevail.”

Gifts of Alton Towers bears were given the Ukrainian children by Staffordshire moorlands district council chairman, Tony Holmes
