Neil Baker steps down as Leek Town FC manager


Leek town Fc have confirmed today that long

serving manager & Club stalwart Neil Baker has stepped down as First Team Manager.

Neil requested a meeting with Senior Directors of the Club after the game and announced he would be stepping down with immediate effect, he also said he had made his mind up at the weekend and regardless of todays result would have done the same thing with a different result.

The Club would like to express their gratitude to Neil over the past seven seasons, which has included three play off campaigns and two seasons curtailed by COVID. Neil also served as Director prior to this


Chairman Jon Eeles said "Neil has legendary status at the Club and there will be enormous shoes to fill going forward. I completely respect his decision and the professional way he has conducted himself today and in the past. He will always be welcome at the Club in what ever capacity he wants to watch a game and I wish him and his family all the very best for the future."

The Club will make no further comment at this point but make a further announcement in due course around the management position going forward.
