New commander in place at local policing team

A new Chief Inspector and Commander has been appointed to the Stoke South local policing team (LPT).
Chief Inspector David Barrow has 18 years of policing experience and has had a varied career across several different departments, including local policing, intelligence and custody.
Speaking of his new role, David said: “Having grown up in Stoke-on-Trent, I’m incredibly excited to be Commander of Stoke South and to be returning to the local area I consider home.
“I’m looking forward to working alongside officers and police community support officers in Stoke South LPT, the local authority and other partners to deliver on the priorities for the area.
“Domestic abuse is a key area of focus for me and I’m keen to ensure we bring offenders to justice where appropriate and also work with partners to reduce offending and safeguard victims.
“I want our officers to be visible in their local communities and increase the trust and confidence of the public by not only tackling issues, but also helping to prevent them from occurring in the first place.”
