NORTHERN PREMIER LEAGUE BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY PREVIEW

MACCLESFIELD host Hyde United in the Northern Premier League Premier Division on bank holiday afternoon as they look to continue their impressive start to the season after winning 3-2 at Whitby on Saturday.

With the silkmen currently second in the table they will face their sternest test of the season so far with Hyde United being top of the table and they are also in good form having beaten Stockton Town 4-1 at the weekend.

LEEK TOWN make the trip to face Matlock Town as they look to bounce back after a 2-1 home defeat to Gainsborough on Saturday.

Matlock are currently bottom of the table although they did get a 1-1 draw away at Lancaster City and both teams will be looking to move away from the early relegation places.

CONGLETON Town entertain Kidsgrove Athletic at the Cleric Stadium in the Northern Premier League West Division on Monday afternoon which brings together fourth against fifth in the table.

The Bears had a comfortable win in the FA Trophy preliminary round on Saturday while Grove drew 0-0 against Stalybridge Celtic and with both teams starting the season well it’s sure to be a tasty affair.

HANLEY Town will be looking to continue where they left off on Saturday afternoon after a 3-0 victory at Mossley saw them move into fourteenth place in the table.

They entertain Stafford Rangers at Potteries Park who have not had the best of starts to their campaign and are currently twenty-first in the table.

NEWCASTLE Town are also in action and moved into ninth in the table after their 2-1 win over Wythenshawe Town on Saturday.

The visitors to the Red Industries Stadium are Nantwich Town who lost 2-1 at home to Wythenshawe and they are currently placed eighteenth in the table and they will be hoping to upset Newcastle’s recent good run.
