A brace from Max McCarthy saw the Bears take victory with goals in the 72nd and 76th minute with Kidsgrove scoring with a goal from Shaun Rhodes on 81 minutes.
The result moves Congleton into second place in the table. Attendance: 884.
HANLEY Town suffered a 2-0 home defeat against Stafford Rangers at Potteries Park.
Goals from Joe Mwasile scored for the visitors on 57 minutes and the victory was sealed in the 77th minute as Dan Cockerline made it 2-0 to take all three points. Attendance: 330
NEWCASTLE Town suffered heartbreak as they lost 2-1 to Nantwich Town at the Red Industries Stadium.
Newcastle took the lead on 31 minutes with Jake Avery netting for the home side, Nantwich struck back immediately as Tom Pratt equalised on 32 minutes and the game stayed at 1-1 until added time when Pratt scored his second of the game in the fourth minute of time added on to give the visitors the three points to take back to Cheshire.
