CONGLETON Town got their first point of the season in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Chasetown at the Scholars Ground in the Northern Premier League West Division on Tuesday night.
Chasetown scored the opener on 16 minutes from Lewi Burnside before the visitors equalised on the half hour mark as George Sanky netted for the Bears. Chasetown went back in front in the second minute of time added on as George Cater scored to give the home side a 2-1 half-time lead.
Max McCarthy equalised for Congleton on the hour mark to level the scores at 2-2 and Town then took the lead on 78 minutes as Daniel Needham scored on 78 minutes. Just as it looked like the Bears were going to take all three points Chasetown were awarded a penalty in the 89th minute which was duly converted by Jack Langston to level the scores at 3-3. KIDSGROVE Athletic stormed to a comfortable 4-0 victory over Witton Albion at the Autonet Stadium.
A brace from Richie Sutton (43, 72) and a goal a piece for Keiran Lazenby (21) and Kingsley Adu-Gyamfi (85) sealed all three points for Grove.
NANTWICH Town suffered a 2-0 home defeat by Hednesford Town at the Weaver Stadium.

NEWCASTLE Town and Stafford Rangers gained a point a piece with a 2-2 draw at the Stan Robinson Stadium.
Rangers took a 2-0 lead with goals from Sean Cooke who netted from the penalty spot on 3 minutes and Luca Whitney on 51 minutes seemed to look like the home side were cruising to victory but a Newcastle fightback started on 55 minutes as Jacob Twyford pulled one back and Jake Avery scored on 70 minutes to secure a point for the visitors.
